Are there any fees or commissions on closed contracts?

NO! All cost for the use of Bargelink.com and Railcargo-Online.com are charged with your subscription. So there are no additional fees, commissions etc. by signing a transport- or service contract between users.

Freight exchange or market place?

Railcargo-Online.com and Bargelink.com are market places – for ideas and opportunities. Unlike an freight exchange, where it’s about freight rates, conditions and a cheap jack. Freight exchanges could have the effect, that they are abused to increase price erosion. Depending on a market situation this can lead to a downward spiral of freigth rates. This is NOT our intention.

Negotiations take place outside the system, directly between potential partners. At Bargelink.com and Railcargo-Online.com it goes about concepts, quality and ideas, and not the cheap jack!

Smartphones and mail apps

Some smartphone mail apps have integrated “fake browsers”. If you try to open Bargelink.com via an e-mail in these mail apps, these integrated browsers may have difficulties to enter our system. Please open Bargelink always with a real browser.

What are the periods of notice?
Termination is possible with a notice period of 7 days before the end of the duration in written form or by E-Mail. Subscriptions will be prolonged with the contracted subscription period (3, 6 or 12 month), if not terminated in time.
What are the periods of subscription?

You may choose between three, six and twelve month subscription.

What other services are offered?

NONE! As operator of Railcargo-Online.com and Bargelink.com we concentrate solely on providing the two market places. So nothing such like consulting etc. This would be in conflict to our policy of neutrality.

Our slogan “Making rail simple” is based on the fact, that potential (small and mid-size) shippers might be afraid to put their cargo on rails. Customers shouldn’t be dicouraged with complicated details. Many railway companies are able to develope simple solutions in no time. With Railcargo-Online.com we help companies from industry & trade to find partners, who develop solution instead of searching problems. That’s out idea of “Making rail simple.”

How may a colleague register?

The first person registered at RCO is automatically the superuser (administrator). This person is able to invite colleagues of his company and to activate their accounts. In menu “My RCO / Superuser” you’ll find the link “Add new user”.

As soon as your colleague has registered you only have to active her/his account. Therefor please go to “My RCO / Superuser”. You may also make her/him superuser as well.

How to choose partners?

It’s very simple to choose partners. The registered companies are sorted in categories – the button of the selected category is red. You may choose all or just some companies. Please use the green arrow to take over the selected companies. And use the red arrow to de-select. If you have selected all companies from the categories you want to contact, you may save this selection into (unlimited) groups with own names. So it’s very easy to use these groups in the future.

In which countries may Railcargo-Online be used?

Railcargo-Online will be available in entire Europe and far beyond. It’s our aim to offer a system which may be used boundless. One singel system for the whole market will push the chances for a strong and liable international rail cargo market. The geo-database of Railcargo-Online contains almost every important place between Portugal and China or the north of Norway and the south of Italy.

May I place my banner on the site?

You are welcome to use Railcargo-Online.com as advertising platform. There is place for buttons (120 x 60 pixel) at the right side of the site. These buttons will be replaced by a random generator. In 2015 we charge 100,00 Euro per month.

You also may place your banner on Cargo-Platform.com. In 2015 the costs herefore are 200,00 Euro per month. In case you would like to book a banner on both sites, we only charge 250 Euro per month. You’ll save 50 Euro per month.

What are the codes PPL, PRT, RYD etc. for?

The about 3 millionen entries in our geo-database of places have “feature codes”, which give detailled information for this places. Here’s the list of these codes:

CHNN/CNLN: navigation channel

DCKB: docking basin

DCKY: dock yard

What is the “Rolling Stock”?

The “Rolling Stock” is the main database for wagons and locos. To be able to offer your loco or wagon, you have to enter them into the “Loco-pool” or the “Wagon pool”. In so doing you get a general view over all locos and wagons, which could be offered (and found) with Railcargo-Online.com.

Is Bargelink neutral?

Bargelink is an absolut neutral provider of Bargelink.com and Railcargo-Online.com. We’ll never be part of any transport- or rental contract, sell or buy any assets nor participate in any other business contact between the users of the system. All proceedings or negotiations between users will only take place outside the system and diretly among themselves.

What other services are offered?

When was Bargelink founded?

Originally the company was founded in Rotterdam as Bargelink.com N.V. on the 1st of january 2001. At the end of 2002, the company was taken over in a management-buy-out by Axel Götze-Rohen. As from 1st of january 2003 the company changed to Bargelink GmbH in Xanten.

Bargelink is a family owned company. Shareholders are managing director Axel Götze-Rohen and Dr. Anja Rohen, managing director of Abfall-Inform.
