About Us

Bargelink was founded on January 1, 2001 in Rotterdam as Bargelink.com N.V. The founding shareholders BP, Vopak, Petroplus, Marquard & Bahls and Booz & Company aimed to build an online marketplace for inland shipping. Today, all relevant shipping companies in Europe are on board.

Every month approx. 700 inland vessels and up to 200,000 tons of cargo are offered.

The company has been managed by Axel Götze-Rohen since 2001. Axel has been active in the logistics business for around 40 years in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Jan Noorlander manages the Bargelink helpdesk from Dordrecht (NL). Jan knows Bargelink inside out and answers your questions in Dutch, German, English and French!

Dr. Anja Rohen is shareholder and advisor on key company matters as well as administrative operations.
